Pre-season All-America selection by Lindy’s Football…named to three All-America teams following a junior year in which he set or tied 12 school records…was chosen to the Associated Press Little All-America team as a second-team selection and to the third team by Football Gazette and D2Football.com…shared the Great Lakes Football Conference’s “Offensive Player of the Year” honor with Central State’s Derrick Moss in 2006 and was a first-team all-league selection…finished the year with a school record 78 receptions for 1,120 yards and 15 touchdowns…also scored touchdowns on a kickoff return (94 yards vs. Saint Joseph’s) and a punt return (69 yards vs. Butler)…broke the UMR single-game record for receiving yards with 229 on nine catches in the comeback victory at Morehead State…set a new mark for all-purpose yards with 294 a week later against Saint Joseph’s, one of three games where he eclipsed the 200-yard mark in that category…finished the year with a UMR record 1,788 all-purpose yards…posted a season-best 11 catches at Southwestern Oklahoma State…scored touchdowns in nine of UMR’s 11 games in 2006…named to the all-region team by Football Gazette and Daktronics and to the academic all-district second team…earned honorable mention All-America honors from Football Gazette after a record-setting sophomore year...was named second-team all-region by Football Gazette and Daktronics in the southwest region...was also named first-team All-IFA for the 2005 season...posted then school record totals of 75 receptions for 1,080 yards and a record 17 touchdowns...also had a kickoff return of 95 yards for a score, giving him a UMR record 18 touchdowns and 108 points on the season...became the first UMR player in history to eclipse the 100-point mark for a season...had three games with at least 10 catches, hauling in 12 for 127 yards and three scores against Morehead State including the longest touchdown reception of the year of 80 yards...had 11 catches and two scores against Saint Joseph's, while catching 10 for a career-high 174 yards and three touchdowns against Butler...caught scoring passes with a second left against Southwest Baptist and with eight seconds left against Morehead State to give UMR a chance to tie or win the game...caught scoring passes in seven of UMR's 11 games last season and in 12 of the 19 games he has played for the Miners...caught 38 passes for 499 yards and seven touchdowns (tied for the team lead), despite playing in just eight of the Miners' 11 games in the 2004 season...caught at least two passes in every game he appeared in and posted single-game highs of seven catches for 118 yards against Truman...had two touchdown receptions in that game as well as in the victory over No. 23-ranked Central Missouri State...also returned nine kickoffs for an average of nearly 16 yards per return and had six rushes for 24 yards...was selected as the player of the year by the Macomb Journal-Star and Quincy Herald-Whig last season and also earned all-state and all-conference honors in each of the last two seasons...was an academic all-state selection who was ranked first in his graduating class.
