A backup quarterback in 2005 who moved to a wide receiver position last fall and is challenging Tredale Tolver for the starting nod at X-Back.

2006 – Played in all 11 games with four starts … caught three passes for 60 yards, including a 44-yarder at Montana … also rushed 11 times for 58 yards and scored three touchdowns – two in season opener against Fort Lewis and another against South Da-kota State … completed a pass for 35 yards in San Jose State game.

2005 -- Played nine games on special teams.

2004 -- Redshirt ... completed two of eight passes for 41 yards in 2005 Spring Game, including a 33-yard touchdown strike to Sean Kennedy.

High School -- Under head coach Ken LaVigne at La Serna High, Cooper passed for 3,327 yards and 26 touchdowns in his three-year varsity career, throwing 26 touchdowns ... completed 212 of 462 career passes (45.9 percent) ... as a senior, rushed for 763 yards and nine touchdowns, averaging 8.6 yards per carry ... played on defense as a free safety as well, recording 76 tackles, recovering four fumbles and intercepting seven passes in two years ... twice earned first-team All-Del Rio League honors as well as first-team All-Area ... also earned a pair of second-team All-CIF-Southern Section Division VII honors and twice was team captain ... the Lancers were 15-7 in Cooper's last two seasons ... also lettered in track and field.
